SOUND / GENERATED
Two tones, a few hertz apart.
One tone in each ear. Your hearing fills in the difference between them as a slow pulse — that is the whole of it. Nothing is downloaded; the sound is made in your browser while you listen.
Headphones needed. On a speaker the two tones mix in the air before they reach you and the pulse does not happen.
A slow pulse. Some people find it easier to sit still with something steady in the room.
197.0 Hz left, 203.0 Hz right — heard as a 6 Hz pulse
Sound, not treatment. Binaural tones are widely used and the research on what they do beyond sounding pleasant is mixed — we make no claim about it. Start quiet, and skip it entirely if you are driving or need to stay alert. If you have epilepsy or wear a hearing device, check with your doctor first.
